153rd regular session of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia
At today's session, the Government adopted a series of proposals relating to judicial legislation. It approved the new amendments to the General Administrative Procedure Act, a proposal for the Act Regulating the Financing and Promotion of the Construction of Public Rental Housing, and proposals for new amendments to the Long-Term Care Act and the Housing Act. It also initiated the procedure for drafting the 2026 and 2027 budgets.

Statement by the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs on the 70th anniversary of the signing of the Austrian State Treaty
Seventy years have passed since the signing of the Austrian State Treaty (ADP), which re-established an independent and democratic Austria. The treaty was also of fundamental importance in setting-up relations with neighbouring Slovenia. Article 7, in particular, is of major importance for Slovenia as it guarantees respect for the rights of the Slovenian minority in Austrian Carinthia and Styria.

152nd Regular Session of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia
At today’s session, the Government approved the proposed changes to the pension reform and was briefed on the current defence and security policy. It also adopted the draft Act on the Publication of Acts in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia, the draft Act on School Inspection, the draft amendment to the Primary School Act, and issued a new flood regulation introducing the concept of flood and erosion resilience.

EU funding for sustainable mobility measures in Slovenian municipalities
The Ministry of Cohesion and Regional Development has approved EU funding for the Call for proposals to co-finance sustainable mobility measures in the period 2023-2029. Municipalities will use the funding to develop and ensure accessible, safer and sustainable day-to-day mobility for their inhabitants. The Cohesion Fund will contribute 42.1 million euros in EU funding.

The Government of the Republic of Slovenia adopted an Opinion on the Proposal for a Declaration on the Preservation and Strengthening of the Autochthonous Slovenian National Minority in the Republic of Austria at a correspondence session. The Government welcomes the initiative of the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia and supports the purpose of the Declaration, which comprehensively addresses the issue of the position and exercise of the rights of the Slovenian national minority in the Austrian regions of Carinthia and Styria.
