    Minister Fajon: After two years of suffering, hope emerges in Gaza

    Two years have passed since the terrorist attack carried out by Hamas on Israel, in which 1,200 innocent people were killed and 251 were taken hostage. As a result of Israel's relentless offensive, Gaza has been completely destroyed. More than 65,000 civilians have been killed, including 18,000 children.

    At today’s session, the Government adopted a proposal to amend the Service in the Slovenian Armed Forces Act. The amendment aims to regulate working hours and certain other employment rights for the duration of specific military activities. It also adopted significant changes to toll collection for freight vehicles, introducing higher tolls for those who pollute more.

    This year marks the 80th anniversary of the end of the Second World War, as well as the centenary of the birth of Ciril Zlobec, one of Slovenia's most influential cultural figures of the second half of the 20th century. In 2012, the Archives of the Republic of Slovenia acquired part of Zlobec's written legacy, which includes a document created thirty years ago but still very much relevant today.
