EU funding for greater efficiency and transparency in court proceedings

The Ministry of Local Self-Government, Cohesion and Regional Development has approved EU funding for the optimisation of international authentication procedures in courts. The project will receive just over €173.000 from the European Regional Development Fund.

The project will simplify and modernise the procedures for authenticating public documents at district courts. By upgrading the eOveritve system, more procedures will be carried out entirely electronically via the e-Sodstvo portal. Users will be able to submit electronic documents for authentication and receive authentication certificates without visiting a court or handling paper documents. The new solution will also be integrated with other information systems, enabling greater automated data exchange and reducing the need for manual data entry. Procedures for verifying electronic signatures and the authenticity of issued certificates will also be improved.

The main objective of the project is to provide users with simpler, faster and more user-friendly international authentication procedures, while continuing the digitalisation of court operations.

The project is implemented under Slovenia’s EU Cohesion Policy Programme 2021-2027. The total project value is €300,000.00, of which €173,338.50 will be provided by the European Regional Development Fund. The beneficiary of the funding is the Supreme Court of the Republic of Slovenia.
