EU funding for a safe and reliable drinking water supply in the Pomurje region

The Ministry of Local Self-Government, Cohesion and Regional Development has approved EU funding for the project Construction of water supply system Lendava-Pince with telemetry A. The project will receive over €2.5 million from the European Regional Development Fund.

The project includes the construction of a 6.42-kilometre water supply connection between Lendava and Pince and aims to improve the safety, reliability and quality of drinking water supply for residents and business in seven municipalities in the region. The upgrade of the remote monitoring and control system of the water distribution network will enable faster detection and repair of faults, improving the overall efficiency and resilience of the system. The investment will also help reduce water losses and enhance the management of water infrastructure, contributing to a more sustainable and reliable water supply.

The €5,297,843.67 project will be implemented under Slovenia’s EU Cohesion Policy Programme 2021-2027. It will receive €2.619.288,80 from the European Regional Development Fund. The beneficiary of the funding is the Municipality of Lendava.
