The decision to sign the Pledge on Responsible Road Traffic Behaviour is a personal one made by an individual to contribute to better road safety by behaving responsibly and participating tolerantly in traffic. The signing coincides with the start of parliament’s consideration of the draft Resolution on the National Road Traffic Safety Program for the period from 2023 to 2030, adopted by the Government of the Republic of Slovenia on 4 October 2023. The draft Resolution will be discussed today in the National Council and in the coming days in the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia. By implementing the measures set out in the National Road Traffic Safety Program, we will aim to ensure that no more than 50 people die on Slovenian roads in 2030 and that no more than 400 people are seriously injured in road accidents. The ultimate goal of our efforts to improve road safety is Vision Zero.
