EU funding for developing core competencies

The Ministry of Cohesion and Regional Development has approved EU funding for the call for proposals for developing core competencies in the period 2023-2029.

By publishing the call for proposals, the Ministry of Education contributes to the goals set under the specific objective of Promoting lifelong learning, in particular flexible upskilling and reskilling opportunities for all taking into account entrepreneurial and digital skills, better anticipating change and new skills requirements based on labour market needs, facilitating career transitions and promoting professional mobility under the priority Skills and responsive labour market of Slovenia’s EU Cohesion Policy Programme 2021-2027.

The aim of the call for proposals is to enhance the inclusion of adults in lifelong learning and improve the competencies that respond to labour market needs, enhance employability and mobility as well as add to personal growth that supports one’s functioning and responding to the technological, demographic and climate change challenges of modern society. This will result in developing core competencies and raising the education level of adults.  

European Social Fund Plus contribution for the call for proposals, which is worth EUR 37 million, stands at nearly EUR 25 million or EUR 24,790,000 to be exact.
