Prime Minister Dr Robert Golob met today with the President of the National Council of the Swiss Confederation Martin Candidas. They assessed relations between the two countries as friendly and very positive.

Switzerland became Slovenia's most important foreign trade partner this year. Cooperation in the pharmaceutical industry is an excellent example of how knowledge can be used to increase trade. The two sides highlighted water management and the production of train compositions as specific areas where cooperation can be intensified, as talks are already underway. Prime Minister Golob also called for the strengthening of air links between Ljubljana and Zürich.
