Slovenian Embassy in Seoul as a new opportunity for Slovenia and the economy

Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Tanja Fajon visited the Republic of Korea to officially open the Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia in Seoul, where she and Minister of the Economy Matjaž Han hosted diplomats, business representatives and other foreign guests to mark Slovenia's Statehood Day.

"Last year, Slovenia and Korea marked the 30th anniversary of diplomatic cooperation. During this period, they have formed excellent political ties and set up economic and cultural cooperation, which has now been upgraded by the establishment of the Slovenian Embassy in Korea, led by Ambassador Jernej Müller," said Minister Fajon at the official opening of the Embassy. She underlined that the Embassy's activities in Seoul will greatly contribute to the strengthening of the comprehensive relations and friendship between the two like-minded countries, both also newly elected non-permanent members of the UN Security Council. "I believe that by addressing global challenges in the Security Council, we can collectively contribute to world peace and stability," added Minister Fajon.
