They noted the excellent cooperation between Slovenia and North Macedonia at all levels and expressed their satisfaction with the regular and intensive political dialogue between the two countries. The main topic on their agenda was EU enlargement to the Western Balkans. State Secretary Štucin expressed his full support for North Macedonia's accession to the EU. Deputy Prime Minister Maricikj briefed him on the progress made in screening Macedonian legislation and comparing it with the EU acquis, and on the challenges facing North Macedonia this year.

They also discussed Slovenia's assistance to North Macedonia as it advances towards EU membership, since the exchange of experience and the transfer of Slovenian knowledge in the context of adaptation to European standards constitute a major part of the cooperation between the two countries.
