Minister Logar discusses economic cooperation and provision of energy products on a working visit to Algiers

Minister of Foreign Affairs Anže Logar met with Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad Ramtane Lamamra, Minister of Energy and Mines Mohamed Arkab, CEO of the state-owned Sonatech company Toufik Hakkar, and President Abdelmadjid Tebboune in Algiers. The purpose of the working visit was to strengthen political and economic cooperation between the two countries, particularly in provision of energy products.

Foreign Ministers Logar and Lamamro discussed the strengthening of bilateral cooperation in various areas of common interest, the current developments in Europe and in North Africa, and cooperation of the two countries within international organisations.

Minister Logar also met with Minister of Energy and Mines Arkab, joined by the CEO of the state-owned Sonatech company Toufik Hakkar and General Manager of the company Geoplin, Vanja Lombar. They mainly focused on the activities aimed at advancing bilateral relations in the economy, particularly in the provision of energy products.

Minister Logar was also received by Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, and both reiterated the importance of good relations and cooperation in the Mediterranean.
