According to Tikhanovskaya, both the political and economic situation in Belarus are steadily deteriorating, as the regime continues with repression, which is why she believes that international support to democratic forces and pressure upon the regime should continue.
Prime Minster Janša reaffirmed his strong support for all endeavours to strengthen democratisation, respect for the rule of law and human rights in Belarus.
