Telephone conversation between Slovenian and Moroccan foreign ministers

Minister of Foreign Affairs Anže Logar today held a telephone conversation with Moroccan Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates Nasser Bourita. The ministers expressed a shared wish to strengthen bilateral relations and went on to exchange views on current regional issues.

Ministers Logar and Bourita welcomed the positive relations between Slovenia and Morocco and committed to further strengthening their political dialogue and economic cooperation. Particular attention was devoted to the cooperation between the ports of Koper and Tanger-Med. Minister Logar also apprised the Moroccan Foreign Minister of the priorities of the upcoming Slovenian EU Council Presidency. They concluded by discussing current regional issues, such as migration, strengthening relations between the European Union and the Southern Neighbourhood, and touched on the recent developments in Libya.
