EU funding for wastewater treatment in Meža River basin

Government Office for Development and European Cohesion Policy has issued a financial support decision for the project “Wastewater collection and treatment in the Meža River basin – Municipality Mežica”. The project worth EUR 529,000 will be implemented by the Municipality Mežica and will receive EUR 272,000 of Cohesion Fund support.
The main goal of the project, which is part of the Development Agreement for the Koroška development region, is to reduce emissions into water.
As part of the project, the existing wastewater collection and treatment system will be upgraded. The project aims to deliver a fecal sewer in the total length of 1,225 metres and a retention basin with a relief tank. 216 inhabitants will be additionally connected to the wastewater collection and treatment system.
