In his telephone conversation with the Archbishop of Ljubljana and Metropolitan Msgr Stanislav Zore, Prime Minister Janez Janša expressed his sincere condolences on the death of the retired Archbishop.  As pointed out by the Prime Minister, the retired Archbishop Alojz Uran, with his example, openness and indomitable will, was one of the important building blocks of the Slovenian Church.

"The Catholic community has lost a devoted shepherd who dedicated his actions to the benefit of the Slovenian nation," added the Prime Minister.
