State Secretary dr. Nevenka Ribič attended the 3rd conference “Programme of projects eSpace” which focused on the 3-year programme implementation period and the presentation of the achievements and results of the project in the field of spatial management, construction and real-estate management. In her address the State Secretary underlined the fact that the projects contribute to our development and that such projects are also welcomed in the next financial perspective.
The main objective of the “Programme of projects eSpace” is to improve and speed up the processes in the field of spatial planning, construction and real-estate management which can be achieved by establishing coherent, easily accessible and reliable spatial databases. The programme will receive EUR 22.4 million support of which the European Regional Development Fund contribution amounts to EUR 17.9 million.
The programme comprises of 5 projects which aim to develop a single information infrastructure for spatial and real-estate data in Slovenia. The result will be the establishment of spatial information system to support spatial management, and network services for spatial and real-estate data.
“Programme of projects eSpace” will optimise the processes in the field of spatial planning, construction and real-estate management, and introduce e-commerce for obtaining building permits, developing spatial documents and registering real-estate. Archives and real-estate records will be scanned to be used in e-commerce. The project will also cover location improvement of the graphic part of the land cadastre and include data on the built-up of building land.
The modernised system is managed centrally by the main office of the Ministry of the Environment and Spatial Planning and the Surveying and Mapping Authority. Nevertheless the system will enable e-commerce relating to spatial planning, construction and real-estate for regional land surveying administrations and offices, and other offices at national and local level dealing with spatial management as well and local communities and owners of real-estate in the entire area of Slovenia.
