EU funding for a new business incubator facility in Kočevje

Government Office for Development and European Cohesion Policy, the Managing Authority for ERDF, ESF and Cohesion Fund, has issued a grant decision for the project ‘’New business incubator facility’’. The overall project budget amounts to over EUR 1.9 million, of which around EUR 1 million will come from the European Regional Development Fund.

By supporting the construction of a new building of the Kočevje business incubator and providing additional incubation space, the goal of the project is to expand the designated space to incubate more SMEs and increase the capacity of the incubator to embrace new projects. The building, which will be located in the degraded area of the LIK II industrial zone, will complement the existing infrastructure aimed at supporting and driving the development of entrepreneurship in the Jugovzhodna Slovenija region, and boost the establishment, development and growth of SMEs.

The newly developed incubator will cover 1,532 m2 with 943 m2 of the facilities available to the incubated enterprises.
