This did not affect the distribution of seats, but it did increase the turnout to 28.89%, a record for a Eurovote in the country.

A total of 8,920 valid ballots were cast at Slovenia's diplomatic and consular offices abroad and mailed from abroad.

The eight Slovenian seats in the European Parliament went to Milan Zver, Romana Tomc and Franc Bogovič, who stood on the joint ticked of the Democratic Party (SDS) and People's Party (SLS), Tanja Fajon and Milan Brglez from the Social Democrats (SD), Irena Joveva and Klemen Grošelj from the Marjan Šarec List (LMŠ), and Ljudmila Novak from New Slovenia (NSi).

Once the results are official, the election of the eight MEPs will need to be endorsed by the National Assembly.
