The official transfer of office at the newly unified Ministry of Education, Science and Youth took place in the presence of former Minister of Education Dr Vinko Logaj and former Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation Dr Igor Papič.

The United Nations General Assembly decided to proclaim 11 February as the International Day of Women and Girls in Science to raise awareness of the importance of the full and equal participation of women in all fields of science. The aim is also to promote the elimination of discrimination and the removal of legal, economic, social and cultural barriers that continue to hinder women’s access to careers in science.

The construction of the new Vrazov trg Campus of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Ljubljana is continuing successfully and approaching the final phase of construction works. While inspecting the progress, Minister Igor Papič and Gregor Majdič, Rector of the University of Ljubljana, discussed the construction conclusion.
