Slovenia, Croatia, Italy urge efforts to boost joint border patrols
Interior ministers of Slovenia, Italy and Croatia, Boštjan Poklukar, Matteo Piantedosi and Davor Božinović, respectively, called for efforts to strengthen cooperation in patrolling the borders along the Western Balkans migration route, as they met in Trieste on Thursday.

The Trans Dinarica Cycle Route, which is the first and only cycle route linking all eight countries of the Western Balkans, including Slovenia, has been named one of Lonely Planet's Best in Travel experiences for 2024. In 2022, Lonely Planet’s Best in Travel recognised Slovenia as one of the top countries to visit.

61st AGRA International Fair of Agriculture and Food
The 61st AGRA International Fair of Agriculture and Food will open on Saturday 26 August at the Pomurski sejem trade fair centre in Gornja Radgona and will close on 31 August. Over the six days, 1,700 exhibitors from 35 countries are participating. The fair will be opened in the presence of a number of high-ranking Slovenian and foreign political and economic representatives by the President of the Republic of Slovenia, Nataša Pirc Musar, who will also formally address the guests.

Most tourist sites in Slovenia are safe to visit
According to the Slovenian Tourism Board (STO) most of the country's tourism destinations are safe to visit. The majority of the country was not severely affected and remains open for guests and visitors, the STO announces.
