Robert Rožac, born on 25 April 1965, graduated from the Faculty of Architecture, Civil and Geodetic Engineering in Ljubljana and gained the title of Bachelor of Architecture. He has considerable work experience in managerial positions, namely, in company management and as the director of individual fields.
He began his career as a design and technology teacher and later he worked at the Institute for Material and Structure Research (ZRMK d. d.) and continued his path as a building and planning inspector at the Inspectorate at the Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning where he worked on the post-earthquake reconstruction of the Posočje region. He then worked at GPG d. d. as a marketing, facility and property director; he was the director of Slovenija projekt d. o. o. under the Energoplan d. d. business group and, at the same time, the director of the IP Obala d. o. o. investment firm from Koper. Furthermore, he was the head of investment and maintenance at the Port of Koper. Prior to his appointment as state secretary at the Ministry of the Environment and Spatial Planning, he was the executive director of the Resa invest d. o. o. project firm in Ljubljana.
