The Project Management Office is responsible for setting up and operating the project management system at the Ministry and ensuring its uniform implementation. It oversees the Ministry’s project portfolio and provides advice to project managers and the management of the Ministry as regards the integration of content, financial resources and other resources in the process of project design, planning, organisation and implementation.

The Office provides systemic and methodological support to project managers and other project members at all stages of the project's lifecycle. It is tasked with the coordination of preparing the project start-up plans; it monitors the implementation of the Ministry's projects and compliance of the implementation with the approved project documentation.

The Office works together with project leaders to address potential bottlenecks and regularly reports on the implementation status of all projects to the management of the Ministry. Its employees are also committed to the successful transfer of project management knowledge among Ministry’s project managers and other key employees.
