The Legislation Office prepares or participates in the preparation of key (systemic) legislation in the field of work of the Ministry of Health. This is, of course, in cooperation with the relevant directorates of the Ministry and other stakeholders. It carries out legal reviews or provides legal opinions on proposals for all other regulations in the field of work of the Ministry of Health, and also prepares legal opinions on the interpretation of key (systemic) legislation.

The scope of the Office's work therefore covers legislation governing health care, health care activities, pharmacy activities, etc., as well as all current legislation in the field of emergency or intervention measures in the health sector (e.g. the Health Care Intervention Measures Act, the legislation laying down measures for the control of the COVID-19 epidemic).
