Born 18 October 1956
Vojmir Urlep successfully completed his education with the acquisition of the titles Master of Pharmacy and MBA (Masters in Business Administration). On his career path he enhanced his extensive and wide-ranging knowledge abroad, where he gained additional education at outstanding world business schools.
A businessman who retired last year, he has an exceptional knowledge of the functioning of the market. He has extensive working experience both on the operational and management level. He continued his successful work in sales as the chairman or member of various management bodies. For almost 20 years he served in the highest position of chairman of the board of the highly successful Slovenian commercial companies Kemofarmacija d.d. and Lek, d.d. He has been and still is a successful participant in management and supervisory bodies, and he has been a member of the management board of the Jožef Stefan Institute, a member of the general meeting of the Health Insurance Institute of Slovenia, a member of the first supervisory board of Petrol d.d. and a member of various European associations in the fields in which he worked during his career. Currently he is president of the supervisory board of the Chamber of Commerce of Slovenia, a member of the administrative board of the University of Ljubljana and a member of the Manager Association honorary tribunal. For two decades now he has also served as a guest lecturer in the area of marketing and management at the University of Ljubljana’s Faculty of Pharmacy.
