Tadeja Forštner Perklič

Born 21 April 1980
Tadeja Forštner Perklič MA, a career diplomat, worked at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from 2005 until her appointment as State Secretary in the Office of the Prime Minister.
From January 2007 to July 2011 she worked at the Permanent Representation of the Republic of Slovenia at NATO in Brussels. Before and after her posting abroad, she worked as an advisor in the Office of the State Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. From September 2015 to September 2018 she worked at the Office of the Prime Minister, where she was a foreign affairs advisor to the Prime Minster, after which she returned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
In the past she has been a member of the Interministerial Working Body for International Development Coordination and the Interministerial Commission on Human Rights.
She graduated from the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Ljubljana in 2005 with a degree in International Relations, focusing on Slovenian foreign policy as a small country within the United Nations. In 2015 she received a Master’s in International Relations from the Faculty of Social Sciences in Ljubljana.
