Mr Aleš Cantarutti, born on 15 August 1972, is a university graduate in Sociology and Human Resources Management. Since 2009, he has been employed as Managing Director of the Centre for International Business at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia.
He gained his work experience after concluding his traineeship at Javor Pivka, d. d., first at the advertising agency Formitas BBDO as Key Account Manager, and then from January 2000 to June 2006 at Javor Pivka, d. d. as Head of Marketing and Sales, and in 2005 as Sales Manager in Moscow. From June 2006 to June 2007 he was Managing Director of Fabrika plus, s. p., which carried out the tasks in marketing communications and strategic marketing. He also lectured in Business Communication and Management at the Postojna Higher Vocational College. Since 2008, he has been employed with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia (GZS) as Head of the Internationalisation Area, and since 2009 as Managing Director of the International Business Centre at GZS.
On 18 December 2014, he was appointed State Secretary at the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology by the Government of the Republic of Slovenia. On 13 September 2018, he was reappointed State Secretary at the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology.
