The Public Property Directorate prepares the legislation, other regulations and guidelines on the management of state-owned assets, state aid, the State’s financial assets, and the transparency of financial relations and guarantees. It monitors the management and privatisation of state assets and acts as the link between the Slovenian Sovereign Holding that manages the state assets, the Government and the National Assembly. It decides and issues opinions on the compatibility with State aid rules. The Directorate also prepares the strategy for a set of investments and projects, the priorities of which are determined by the Government, and assesses whether the proposed investments will lead to the realisation of the objectives and reforms set out in the strategic documents.
