The Protocol of the Republic of Slovenia performs professional, organisational and logistical activities for providing protocol events at the highest state level both in Slovenia and abroad. Such events include, in particular, visits by high representatives of foreign countries to the Republic of Slovenia, visits by high representatives of the Republic of Slovenia to foreign countries, presentations of credentials by ambassadors to the President of the Republic of Slovenia, ceremonies for the awarding of decorations of the Republic of Slovenia and state celebrations. The Protocol also organises and carries out ceremonies on the occasion of the signing of intergovernmental treaties, at swearing-in ceremonies, mourning ceremonies, state funerals and the laying of wreaths on various occasions, at receptions hosted by high representatives of the Republic of Slovenia, and at other events of state importance.
