  • Third viaduct on the second track route finished

    The construction of the Vinjan viaduct, which is the third and also the last viaduct on the route of the second railway track between Koper and Divača, has been completed. Prime Minister Robert Golob and Minister of Infrastructure Alenka Bratušek attended the ceremony. They both gave assurances that another track would be built next to the second track.

    On the basis of the Act on Aid to Ensure Enhanced Air Connectivity (hereinafter reffered as: the Act), a Public Tender for Enhanced Air Connectivity of Slovenia was published in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia and the Official Journal of the European Union on 12. 1. 2024. In accordance with the first paragraph of Article 10 of the Act, the tender documentation is publicly published, however, the English translation is merely an information aid for foreign air carriers when preparing applications for aid.

    The application for aid and Annexes must be submitted in Slovene language. Submission deadline is 12. 2. 2024 at 23.59

    On the basis of the Act on Aid to Ensure Enhanced Air Connectivity (hereinafter reffered as: the Act), a Public Tender for Enhanced Air Connectivity of Slovenia was published in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia and the Official Journal of the European Union on 27. 10. 2023. In accordance with the first paragraph of Article 10 of the Act, the tender documentation is publicly published, however, the English translation is merely an information aid for foreign air carriers when preparing applications for aid.

    The application for aid and Annexes must be submitted in Slovene language. Submission deadline is 27. 11. 2023 at 23.59

  • Pledge on Responsible Road Traffic Behaviour

    The Minister of Infrastructure, mag. Alenka Bratušek, and mag. Simona Felser, Acting Director of the Slovenian Traffic Safety Agency, were the first signatories to sign the Pledge on Responsible Road Traffic Behaviour today. The pursuit of road safety and Vision Zero is a responsibility shared among individual citizens, society as a whole, and the state.

    Construction works at the Domžale railway station have come to an end. The railways station now boasts a modernised platform and rail infrastructure, a new underpass for passengers, and a refurbished station building.

  • Slovenia and Serbia for the improvement and acceleration of rail transport

    The Minister of Infrastructure, Alenka Bratušek, hosted the Serbian Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, Goran Vesić, on a working visit. They have agreed to propose the establishment of a joint standing committee with Croatia, Austria, and Italy, in order accelerate rail transport.

    31st regular session of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia

    At today’s session, the Government became acquainted with the initialled agreement on resolving the strike demands of FIDES and authorised the Minister of Health to sign the agreement. It also adopted the proposed amendments to the Act determining aid to the economy to mitigate the consequences of the energy crisis and the proposed Act on the aid to provide greater air connectivity.

    At today's correspondence meeting, the Government adopted a Decree on the determination of the electricity price for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises that are final customers as defined by the Electricity Supply Act and provisionally set maximum retail prices for them.

    Minister of Infrastructure, Bojan Kumer, attended the continuation of the Extraordinary Energy Council of the European Union in Brussels, where ministers intensively coordinated an agreement on a European mechanism to limit natural gas prices and finally reached a political agreement.

  • On the Road to a Green Transition – at the annual Slovenia’s Recovery and Resilience Plan event

    One year after the confirmation of Slovenia’s Recovery and Resilience Plan, the Representation of the European Commission in Slovenia, the Slovenian Recovery and Resilience Office, and the Ministry of Infrastructure together with the Slovenian Infrastructure Agency, held the plan’s first annual event, entitled On the Road to a Green Transition. In the morning, the conference participants discussed sustainable mobility and effective energy use, while in the afternoon they had a look at the first results of the project to upgrade the Ljubljana-Divača railway line, which is being financed as part of the plan. The event was also attended by the Head of the Recovery and Resilience Task Force at the European Commission, Céline Gauer, the Finance Minister Klemen Boštjančič, and Minister of Infrastructure Bojan Kumer.

    Minister of Infrastructure Jernej Vrtovec today attended the Energy Day at the 26th summit of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP26). Slovenia joined the Powering Past Coal Alliance initiative and endorsed the Statement on Public Support for the Clean Energy Transition at COP26.
