Statistical Appendix (of current SEM)

Editor in Chief: Luka Žakelj

Slovenian Economic Mirror is a translation of the monthly publication "Ekonomsko ogledalo" published since January 1995. Its purpose is to provide standardized macroeconomic analyses, estimates and forecasts. Besides IMAD's authors, there are also experts from other institutions who contribute to SEM, such as Chamber of Economy, various economic institutes, etc. The publication is distributed to foreign embassies in Slovenia, Slovenian embassies abroad, government and parliamentary bodies, international enterprises in Slovenia, banks, insurance companies, economic institutes at home and abroad and several international organizations.
Abstracts from SEM are distributed among media and selected parts are being published in publications such as Slovenian Weekly and in daily and business press.

Slovenian Economic Mirror consists of:
  • a series of "mirrors" which reflect key indicators of selected economic developments, comment and evaluate how the annual targets set in the government macroeconomic documents (Spring Report, Autumn Report) and Budget Memorandum are being realized and the economic policy pursued (wages, government revenues, prices, competitiveness).

  • statistical appendix, which includes main figures on economic trends published by domestic and foreign institutions, such as Statistical Office of the RS, Bank of Slovenia, Agency for Payments, Supervision and Information, National Employment Office, IMAD etc. This section includes also the renewed estimates on basic macroeconomic indicators in the current and following years, as well as the latest figures for the previous year.

  • introductory text and figures which summarize major developments in the current month and in the near past. It presents also latest figures, estimates and projections, as well as highlights from the contents of selected mirrors.
The publication is available in print or electronic format.
